We understand the importance of timeliness and responsiveness in the legal world, and we strive to be a dependable partner throughout your legal process.
We continue to change and adapt as modern technologies such as AI ("artificial intelligence") and other integrations to our practice and matter management software help us streamline our service to you. In doing so, we are able to better assist you with your legal issue in a more efficient manner, saving you time, and money, in resolving your legal problem.
So, whether you're seeking legal guidance for a family law matter, a criminal law matter, a restraining order matter, or other legal challenge, know that at Williams Cole, we are committed to being your secure base in the legal landscape.
Our mission is simple; to provide affordable legal services without compromising our values. Whether you're facing a challenging legal issue or seeking pro-active legal counsel, you've come to the right place.
Our Principal Lawyer, Chris Cole, not only deals with the "paperwork", or solicitor side of your matter, but also any court appearances, including any trial (assuming we have not already resolved your legal problem without the need for a trial). Not only does this mean that the person who appears in court for you has an in-depth knowledge of your matter, it also saves you the financial cost of paying for both a solicitor and a barrister to appear at court hearings. Engaging a barrister in addition to your lawyer's fee to appear at trial can add thousands of dollars per day to your legal fees.
Only in limited circumstances, such as where we consider the complexity of your case requires the skills of a specialist barrister, will Willams Cole discuss with you the possible need for one to appear. In the event you decide you would like a barrister to appear at a hearing or trial, Williams Cole will provide a discount on any court attendance fees payable to us in our attendance as your solicitor as a gesture of goodwill and to ensure your legal costs remain at a reasonable and affordable level.
Before you decide on a firm to represent you, make sure to ask if the lawyer you will be dealing with will be the same lawyer appearing at any court hearings or trials, or whether they generally engage a barrister. If their usual practice is to retain a barrister for court advocacy work, ask them what they estimate the barrister's costs to be, in addition to the costs of your lawyer's attendance.
